Dr. John Gottman has studied couples dynamics for almost 40 years involving over 3000 couples. His research findings regarding the prediction of relationship failure has been seen as revolutionary in the field of couples therapy. Dr. Gottman and his wife, Dr. Julie Schwartz Gottman, developed the Sound Relationship House Theory, from these research findings regarding the factors associated with successful relationships and those that predict relationship deterioration . The Sound Relationship House Theory is the basis for both the Art and Science of Love Workshop curriculum and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. The presenters will review the research findings, explain the theory, and the fundamentals of the Gottman Method.
